Reflection Blog

I did my web text on the real estate process because I knew that my audience needed to be informed on the topic. As a realtor, I find that younger buyers experience a lot frustration with buying a home. Since they are so overwhelmed, they make poor decisions to move the sale quickly.
I am proud of my web text. I had no clue that I can create a website like that on my own. The final outcome could have been better if I had a little more time to work on it. Overall, I am pretty damn impressed with this class and that assignment.
If I had better technical knowledge while doing this assignment, I would have added some better graphics, or links to my home tutorials. I also would have added pictures of homes that have damage. What it looks like and knowing where to look for it.
Looking back at my project I wish I would have done that. I should have put up pictures of water leaks, mold, structural damage (cracked foundation), and some others. Most of my readers are not going to know what this looks like. Most people think that it will get picked up in an inspection. It will. But the buyer has to pay for the inspection unless it is worked out in the purchase agreement of the contract. If the inspector finds structural damage to the home and a purchase agreement has already been signed.. It’s hard to walk away from. If you are released from the contract than you would be out the $200 for the inspection. No one likes to be out money!
So I would have liked to put up those pictures. But I am happy with how I organized my information. I felt that my readers weren't going to read my web text and see only gibberish.
